The Lost Timeline

The clock stopped. The world changed. Only five remember. When Mason Carter sees the classroom clock freeze at 10:17, he thinks it’s just one strange moment — until his history teacher changes, a classmate vanishes from the records, and a class photo rewrites itself. He and his friends are the only ones who remember the world the way it was. Beneath the old clock tower they find the Chronos Line: a hidden train that travels through time — and Project Chronos, a secret programme rewriting history at a terrible cost. Following the lost timeline through 2026, 1989, and the dangerous heart of the project, they face an impossible choice — because saving one timeline may erase another.

The Island That Wasn’t on the Map

A hidden island. A missing mother. A secret that was never meant to surface. When sixteen-year-old Eli Byrne wakes on black sand after a ferry crash, there’s no phone signal, no rescue boat, and no island on the map — just black cliffs, locked gates, and a red light blinking above a place nobody was ever meant to find. With Noa Vale and the rusted key around her neck, he uncovers Site K: a hidden prison island built to erase people, bury records, and silence witnesses. But Mara Voss is watching — and once they find proof of the cover-up, leaving the island alive becomes the hardest part.

About the author

Danny Byrne

Danny is an Australian writer, disability advocate, and public speaker whose life has been shaped by resilience, determination, and the unwavering support of his family. Born with cerebral palsy, he has spent his life navigating challenges that many people never see, while refusing to let disability define who he is.

From his early years in Bendigo to life in Port Fairy, Katherine, and beyond, Danny’s experiences have taught him the value of perseverance, self-advocacy, and finding strength in quiet moments. Throughout his life, he has challenged low expectations, fought for his independence, and spoken up for the rights of people with disabilities.

What They Didn’t See is Danny’s debut memoir, forthcoming. More than a story about disability, it is a story about family, courage, loss, survival, and the determination to build a meaningful life despite the obstacles placed in his path. Danny hopes his story encourages readers to look beyond appearances, question assumptions, and recognise the strength that often goes unnoticed.
